"That's what General Convention is really about"

"General Convention is not all good. You can see plenty of vanity and foolishness, with hollow arguments seeming to succeed better than they should.  However, you can also see people of faith, courage, conviction and deep spirituality seeking good things for others, often at considerable cost to themselves. Despite all that can go wrong, the People of God continue to be a sign of hope in a world too often shadowed by darkness and contradiction.

"That’s what General Convention is really about, the hope of the Gospel, not getting our way about this or that."

--The Rev. William C. Morris, Theologian-in-Residence, Christ Church Cathedral, New Orleans (posted at TitusOneNine)
