Welcome to The Questioning Christian

This is the introduction to a series of occasional posts that will address the question: Given all that we know about science and technology today, does it even make sense to be a Christian?

Many of the posts to this blog will be adapted from materials I used in a Sunday-school class in the spring of 2002. The target audience for that course was the doubter, the person who isn’t comfortable with Christianity, or who rejects it altogether. You probably know some doubters. You may have some in your own family.

In fact, my original motivation for teaching the Sunday-school class came when my then-preteen son started asking the same kinds of questions that I did when I was his age. I was very proud of him for asking, and I realized that I wanted to help him get better answers than I did at that age.

It was clear that my son would not respond particularly well to merely having Scripture quoted at him. Hence the class, and now this blog.
